Job Descriptions: 



Lead the technical development of new and existing products with supplier(s) ensuring project timing. Lead the process development with suppliers ensuring the process is efficient and properly qualified. Propose countermeasures when there are problems with process and product development. Coordinate with different levels of management from suppliers to ensure a successful product development meeting the deadline. 



Position Responsibilities:





• Participate in the supplier evaluation process; team work with business divisions to keep product / supplier development works on schedule.

• Manage product development projects to ensure the projects are completed on time and the products developed meet with quality requirements (meet design specifications, meet process specifications, ISO requirements).

• Create or/and update product specifications as required. 

• Create or/and update standard 2D / 3D drawing of products. 

• Maintain the drawings, tolerances, and product specifications as living documents. 

• Design experiments to understand sources of variation affecting products. 

• Lead the investigation of design / process variations and implement appropriate actions to eliminate the variations with adverse effects on product quality.

• Participate in development of product test plans and implement the tests.

• Assist product divisions, vendors and test laboratories in generating QA or engineering related documents.

• Write and Review/Approve Process Validations (i.e. Injection Molding, plastic tube extrusion, heating sealing etc)

• First article evaluation per approved test and product evaluation plan

• Participate to investigate the customer/sales force quality complaints, Participate in CAPA activity.





Qualifications: 



• Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering or related engineering/ Science majors. Post-graduate degree is a plus.

• Excellent in Written/Spoken English.

• Professional in 2D / 3D engineering drawings: 2+ years’ work experience in engineering drawings is preferred. New graduates with excellent drawing skills are welcome to apply.

• Excellent understanding of plastic manufacturing techniques: 2+ years’ work experience in plastic product development and/or plastic materials/molding is preferred. New graduates with excellent understanding of plastic molding are welcome to apply.

• The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail oriented and has the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

• This individual must have a high regard for personal accountability and understand the critical importance of commitment

• Must be capable of supervising out-of-house projects and managing them to achieve on time completion. This requires working through issues at the factory and making sure these projects remain a priority and get the factory resources required. 

• Process related, Experience on Medical Device Industrial is preferable 

• It’s preferable if candidate is a certified quality system auditor for ISO9001, ISO and QS9000 etc.

• Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Office, Projects

• Willing to travel 50-80% (within China and overseas).
