As a Baseband Engineer for the M2M team located in Dalian, you will work with innovative wireless modules that will be used in automotive, industrial and other M2M applications globally.



A week in the life of a Baseband Engineer:



• You will design and develop baseband (BB) design for audio, power management, modem, memory and ESD, with a specific focus on audio and ensure that BB standard specifications and customer requirements are met.

• You will test and validate all aspects of BB design, including component and system level testing.

• You will coordinate with the development team to ensure that the design meets its functional and quality targets and oversee the technical communication with various site counterparts and functional teams.

• You will analysis requirement by new product which comes from system engineer team, and clarify they can be full fill, fill with limitation or not full fill



Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



• To succeed in this job, you must have: knowledge of wireless technology, specifically baseband testing for wireless modules; design experience with ARM processors including TI and Freescale, DDR memory interfaces, PLLs, local switching power supplies, Ethernet, IIC, SPI, USB and RS interfaces; strong soldering skills for both through-hole and SMD components; familiarity with high speed hardware design constraints to minimize impairments such as noise, cross talk, signal integrity issues and timing; autonomy in audio testing and design. 

• It would be preferred if you have experience with detailed circuit simulation and simulation software such as Hyperlynx, TimingDesigner, Spice, ADS and Genesys.

• You must be fluent in English and Mandarin. 

• We would like someone to join our team who is a quick-learner, motivated, a strong problem-solver, analytical, a team-player, a strong communicator and knowledgeable about reporting standards and technical documentation.

• You must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering.

• We are looking for someone with at least 4-8 years of experience in hardware BB design and validation experience for wireless mobile.
