Job specification - involve in the initial concept, design and development of machining component and plastic injection components, with technical knowledge, problem solving and communication skills


Essential skills required:
1.Effective use of CAD and CAM systems to design and visualize components within concerned projects, use of CAD software for component design from concept to component for production
2.Cover the concept, specification, and development of components 
3.Communicate effectively with the colleagues and contractors involved in a project 
4.Ensure drawings for components design are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.
5.Relevant industry experience in component design for medical equipment components and orthopedic implants 
6.A driven, self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative


Responsibilities
1.Liaise with clients to identify their requirements 
2.Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing components
3.Cover the concept, specification and development of components
4.Design the aesthetics, materials and functionality of components 
5.Use CAD, CAN and CAM systems to design and visualize components within concerned projects
6.Overseeing model making, prototyping and product testing
7.Identify processes to improve component quality and save costs
8.Communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors involved in a project
9.Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.


Work experience - Relevant industry experience in component design for medical equipment and consumable components
1.Solid experience of machining and plastic injection molding component design from concept to completion 
2.Sound experience of 3D CAD based design and creating detailed manufacturing drawings
3.Good knowledge of design for manufacture, assembly, and test
4.For this role, demonstrating sound engineering skills and experience will be as valuable as academic qualifications
