Responsibilities • Support Account Leadership in running client service team meetings and coordinate account activities • Build and manage relationship with local clients and procurement contacts in insurance companies • Assist Account Leadership in client strategy and cooperation with client service teams from different functions • Identify and gather information on clients’ expectations through regular meetings and interactions • Spend a majority of working time on client facing activities. Facilitate expansion of contact points by bringing up a relationship map. • Introduce new client relationships and strengthen the ties with existing clients • Foster partnership with clients in the daily and procurement work • Utilize strengths of other member firms or functions to win new business through rigorous sales process, pricing, contracts and negotiation • Work with Market Services to integrate marketing campaigns into account strategy • Co-ordinate the performance of arrangements with clients and evaluate their effectiveness based on investment income and client relationship progress • Drive business development initiatives, develop and maintain business relationships and expand KPMG’s presence in the insurance sector in Mainland China • Attend industry events with Account Director to help increase KPMG market visibility and foster a business network Experience • University graduate with 10+ years of working experience in insurance and related industry required. • Experience in a client-facing role and understanding of professional services market, ideally gained from working in business development role with professional accounting firms, insurance consulting firms, or insurance companies • Understand insurance operating models, products, risks, distribution, and/or strategies • Organized and dependable, able to coordinate RFP responses as needed • Effective networker with an ability to gain trust from current and potential clients • Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating, and nurturing business opportunities • Experience in developing and leading relationship maintenance activities with clients’ middle management and staff • Self-starter with an ability to operate independently in sales role • Dynamic, self-motivated and able to work under pressure • Strong influencing and negotiating skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Confident interacting at all working levels both internally and externally • Strong questioning and listening skills with an ability to see a bigger picture • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Please note that KPMG Shenzhen will relocate to China resources building, Nanshan District, Shenzhen by the end of 2018.
