Engineering China is part of Global Engineering and consists of 4 different function areas. We build machines for our volume production sites which are located in Zhuhai, Hungary and Denmark to support the increase production demand. With our new Global Operations Plan, Engineering China will be expanded. We are therefore looking for an

Engineering Manager

You will heading a team of 1 supervisor, 9 engineers, 1 clerk and 42 technicians

Your Responsibilities

----Providing leadership and people management to employees in the team

----Support the project organization by ensuring qualified people (engineers+ blue collar) according to project requirements. Ensuring fulfilment of project KPIs and KPIs in own area are set and met.

----Ensuring our internal customers have good service and strive for a good collaboration between Project Management, Purchasing and Engineering team.

----Communicating and sharing of technical information/ knowledge a cross functions within Engineering China as well as between Coloplast sites.

----Following relevant Corporate, local and departmental instructions and guidelines.

---- Improving productivity continually.

---- Ensuring change control in Engineering.

---- Ensuring CE marking process and safety check of machines.

----Ensuring necessary competences and skills via internal and external education and training sessions for engineering team.

---- Ensuring 6s in office, tool shop, warehouse and assembly areas.

---- Responsible for reporting status, risks and challenges to Director of Engineering China.

----Contributing to general competence development and sharing best practices within the department.

A further key responsibility is to liaise with stakeholders and customers from China, Hungary and Denmark to ensure the correct technical knowledge & requirements. And the job might also require some travel days.

Your qualifications

----Bachelor or above degree, Electrical, mechanical or relevant majority.

----At least 5-8 years management and leadership experience in both white and blue collar.

----Knowledge in mechanical and automation design and documentation.

----Analytical reasoning, structured problem solving and strong methodological approach.

----Good cooperation skills and abilities to work in a cross-functional and international environment.

----Good English communication skill both spoken and written.

----Self-driven and fast learning.

---- Positive and a team player.

----Supportive and service minded

On the personal level, you are proactive, follow-up on tasks, and maintain timelines and meet due dates. You possess a strong personal drive and are result oriented. You are open, flexible and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.

Furthermore, you enjoy working in teams, but can also work independently on your own tasks.
