Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE)

We are looking for a reliable Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs, identifying mistakes and non-conformities as well as for maintain and further develop existing and new Component Manufacturers.



The Quality Assurance Engineer will be based in Nansha Port, Guangdong Province, CHINA, and will be mostly traveling between Component Manufacturers in China. The engineer at this position is reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) in China as well as the headquarters of the Group in Switzerland. 



Responsibilities:

Long term

1.Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) in China

2.Implements internal QA/QC method statements and devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues, monitor all operations that affect quality, facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analysing quality data

3.Carries out quality control inspections on newly manufactured components and all associated raw materials and assess acceptance/rejection of lots accordingly

4.Monitors factory production control procedures established and executed by the component manufacturer, provides support in order to improve/maintain the overall quality and in case of possible non-conformities

5.Reports and files all measurements/controls derived from the QA/QC activities on E-Trace (our supply platform software) in order to ensure full compliance with European standards/approvals

6.Supports the QAM in executing first inspection of potential CMs for 2nd source, CM replacement, alternatives, etc.

7.Supports the QAM in the process of making new moulds/patterns in Asia by inspecting the T1 samples, checking and carrying out measurement reports

8.Assists, if needed, the QAM in regards to shipments, logistics and export issues. 

9.Associated admin work related to the quality inspection team in Asia



Requirements:

1.Quality / production engineering degree 

2.5 years international experience in production & quality assurance

3.Great attention to details and a result driven approach

4.Excellent organizational abilities

5.Good English skills (oral and written)

6.Ability to work independently 

7.Willingness to travel (min. 50 %)

8.You should possess a car which can be used for business travel



Additional info about the position:

Location: Mainly Foshan and with intermittent stays in Ningbo and Tianjin
