Overview:
This position is to take the lead in new product development field in NPD. It requires wide range of detail oriented knowledge and skill. Should have ability to obtain support from all resources available in different Southco facilities to fulfill tasks.
Responsibilities:
1.Coordinate and communicate with project leaders and designers as well as all related resources to introduce new product into mass production.
2.Take ownership to assigned new projects, handle cost estimate, prototyping, initial production, business system setup, and problem solving
3.Provide related tech instruction to teammates as to new project development. Assist NPD manager to improve the team capability.
4.Make sure the tooling, equipment, fixtures, BOM, WI, Flow chart etc are ready before release to mass production
5.Train operators on the production processes of the new products and assure the quality and safety.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree on mechanical engineering. With 5+ years working experience on manufacturing industry.
2. With experience on product design, metal product assembly /fixture development, have the experience of cold forming/turning/ejection molding etc will be preferred
2. With experience on design, faimilar with design software,such as NX,Pro/E,Soildworks ect, good NX kills will be preferred.
4. With these experiences or knowledge will be preferred : product cost estimate, Metal material( Steel, Aluminum, plastic ), surface finish ( zinc, nickel plating, powder coating), Heat treatment etc
5. With experience on project management. Good communication skills
6. Positive working attitude, be willing to work under pressure
7. With experience on PFMEA,SOE(WI), DFMEA, tolerance analysis, DOE etc
8. Good English command for writing, have fluent oral English will be preferred.
