Overview:
Take the leading responsible for the success of SBU Custom , Modification Project in Asia. Work with various product development teams, product management, Southco facilities, outsource and alliance partners, etc. Must manage mutiple projects simultaneously from application, design, to product launch to meet customer requirements and to ensure project follows established WorkFront procedures and work instructions. PM need to provide daily direction for various team members and keep a sense of urgency for meeting the established goals and timelines. PM need to provide financial analysis as needed during the process, has budgetary responsibility for product development programs to ensure the product costs meet targets. PM need to provide feedback to the relative engineering managers/supervisors on individual team members’ performance. PM will lead a project team by influence, oversee the project and act as a single contact to the customer. PM will help attain customer loyalty and satisfaction while also achieving internal metrics such as earnings, on-time deliveries, and project quality.
   Project Engineer drives strategic business growth by identifying, negotiating, and securing high-value client partnerships. This role requires balancing technical expertise with commercial acumen to convert opportunities into profitable long-term contracts.This role requires to orchestrate end-to-end pricing strategies and contract negotiations, serving as the critical nexus between sales, engineering, and finance teams. This role demands acute commercial acumen to balance profitability with competitive positioning in manufacturing/automotive sectors.
 
Responsibilities:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: 
In charge of project kick off, compile project plan and setup cross function project team.
Define project development timing plan and action plan with team organize project regular meeting and closely follow up project progress and ensure development timing.
Responsible for risk management,cost management, change management within the development phase.
Drive team for problem solving, cross function communication,management reporting.
Strategic Pricing Developmen:
•	Lead RFQ analysis with cross-functional teams, identifying technical/commercial risks and formulating mitigation plans
•	Develop dynamic pricing models incorporating material cost fluctuations, currency exchange variables, and regional market factors
•	Maintain competitor intelligence database to benchmark pricing strategies and value propositions

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: 
Support product design and new application. Work with engineering team to ensure design reviews, DV, PV

PROJECT PRIORITIZATION: 
Coordinate and prioritize daily activities of project staff in support of achieving the project objectives.Ensuring proper staffing and resources to fulfill project targets together with the line managers of thevarios team members.
LAUNCH AND AFTER LAUNCH SUPPORT:
- Support quality engineer in completing PPAP/EMPB documentation
- Support PSW
- Ensure that prototype, pre-production and production build dates and requirements are met.

Requirements: 
1.  Project management or related certification	
2.  Bachelor degree or above experience in mechanical,automation related professional
3. 5 years work experience in engineering or project management. Experience in product development, manufacturing or operations a plus.	
4. Able to interface effectively with suppliers and customers
5. Able to manage complex projects and work with people at all levels of the organization.	
6. Cost Breakdown Analysis, Multilingual Negotiation
7. Good written (English), oral communication and in-person presentation skills	
8. Lead E/H project development experiecence will be plus

 Responsibilities:
Specification development:
1)	Review customer requirement and specification.
2)	Summarizes and clarifies customer specification, requirement, issues and outcome with customer and internal use.
3)	Develop product specification together with KAM/customers and work on design and provides schedules. 
4)	Ensures that customer parameter brief (CPB) in 1213 data is complete be updated to date. ( Use as core tool)
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, CAD DESIGN, DRAWING CREATION (design work with goal to meet customer and Southco specifications):
1.	- Designs (CAD) and creates concepts and production parts towards customer and internal specification considering program goals in the area of cost, quality and time lines (from initial acquisition to formal program to launch)
2.	- Ensures DFMEA/TA/DFA and DFM (esp. Die casting, Stamping and injection molding processes) are integrated in product design (in conjunction with NPD and  manufacturing engineering support).
3.	- Creates designs in NX-Unigraphics towards the required customer CAD standards.
4.	- Creates component, assembly and trade drawings for internal and external use using GD&T, SC (special characteristics) and other tools for identifying customer and Southco requirement.
5.	- Carries out product improvements (CAD design) towards internal and external requirements (i.e. specification change request)
6.	- Makes complete tolerance analysis on all interfering features (sub assembly and customers application)
7.	- Take responsibility of  Project Management for modification project in initial technical feasibility studies, design concept presentation and cost estimate activites and working very close with NPD team in product development cycles.  Also work with Project Manager/Sales team from  initial concept development during project/program acquisition and RFQ processes
TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT (Southco-customer-supplier), incl. quality documentation and considering goals for cost, quality and time lines:
8.	- support project manager and participate project meetings (technical aspects) to ensure program requirements are met, initiate team tasks (i.e. preparation of cost estimates, testing, quality tasks…) in regards to program needs
9.	- Organizes leads and manages Design FMEA activities. Ensures that D-FMEA is up-to-date throughout the program
10.	- Creates test plans on basis of customer and Southco requirements and supports product evaluation department to achieve results in a timely manner to the quality level required. Ensures that program/project requirements are met with designed product. Communicates design issues to Engineering management team.
11.	- Supports manufacturing engineering on technical issues (product specification, i.e. material selection, etc.), tooling requirements and vendor support.
12.	- Provides supply chain management team with relevant technical data so that sourcing procedures (RFQ) can be executed and successfully finished. Ensures that product and program specification changes are reported in time.
13.	- Supports supply chain management group and manufacturing engineers in technical review meeting with supply base (i.e. design and process reviews) 
14.	- Ensures that product development process follows PRO-04 requirements. Maintains PRO-04 documentation when required. Manages/maintains/supports required technical customer documentation (as per customer specification).
TECHNICAL CUSTOMER INTERACTION (engineer-to-engineer relationship):
15.	- Visits appropriate customer engineers to check the project status in regards of the program/project  requirements  (application/product specification, cost - if applicable, quality, time lines)
16.	- Support Southco and customer thru required changes
LAUNCH AND AFTER LAUNCH SUPPORT:
17.	- Supports manufacturing, quality engineers in completing PPAP documentation
18.	- Ensures that prototype, pre-production and production (initial) build dates and requirements are met towards expected quality goals and time lines
DESIGN REVIEWS / KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER (Across SBU design teams):
19.	- Coaches new or younger team members to get them to the next level (technical aspects) to ensure they acquire basic Southco best practices in design & development of mods & custom products
20.	- Attend internal design reviews. Check documentations & designs are to the correct quality standards such as D-FMEA, drawings, tolerance analysis, test plan and are in line with customer specifications.
21.	Supports Senior Engineering or Supervisor and Project Managers on technical issues   

Requirements: 
1.Chartered Engineer required or equivalent	
2.Work permit / passport which allows work and travel in desired country/countries.
3.Fluent in English and Chinese. Ideally another AP language, preferred.
