Job Description
1.Global sourcing of materials for sustaining and new projects in a timely manner which includes and not limited to printed circuit boards, electronic components, metals, resins, magnetics, die castings, extrusions, overlays, custom accessories, specialty materials, packaging as well as value add outsourced processes such as plating, painting, annealing, passivating services etc. 
2.Recommend, establish and execute strategies to ensure competitiveness based on delivered cost in the factory, lead times, quality and on-time delivery (JIT).
3.Identify, qualify, audit, develop, and monitor performance of new suppliers meeting company’s quality management system requirements to deliver high quality components / services consistently on time and with continuous improvements in quality, cost, and delivery. Develop and maintain supplier score card system.
4.Negotiate, implement and coordinate supply chain solutions (VMIs, BIMs) with suppliers for cost reductions and lead time reductions and coordinate its implementation with Purchasing & Sourcing teams in USA and China.
5.Alternate sourcing of materials for cost reductions, lead time reductions End of Life announcements, Last Time Buys, natural disasters and risk mitigation.
6.Develop and manage team of professional buyers in China factory and work effectively with company’s material planning requirements planning system for timely ordering of correct materials and by exercising excellent inventory controls.
7.Continuously improve supply chain of materials with on-time arrival of materials meeting on-time product manufacturing schedule: 
8.Keep track of market price indexes / trends and its use for sourcing / review price fluctuations.  
9.Performance measured on (i) landed cost versus historical cost and quoted cost, (ii) cost reduction without compromise to quality, delivery and meeting all purchasing procedures and quality management system procedures, ii) factory on-time product delivery performance to promise date and (iv) Full support to cross-functional site management team.
10.Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior at all times without exception.
11.Must have hands-on, highly engaged communication style and willingness to drive change.
Essential traits
1.Strong market place knowledge for electronic and mechanical component sourcing.
2.Experience with Medical Device manufacturing.
3.Must thrive on being in a change-agent role, showing high "emotional intelligence" and willingness to persuade others to shift operational paradigms.
 OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1.Four-year university degree
2.Ten years or more of Sourcing, production management and general management experience.
3.Demonstrated sourcing-purchasing procurement responsibility for more than USD 10 million per year in a wide range of goods and services.
4.Language fluency in Mandarin/Putonghua and English.
5.Experience with ERP-based "material requirements planning" systems.
