Leather Specialist (Handbag)

Job Responsibilities –

•        Working closely with Italy/US design/PD teams, tanneries and handbag factories for sourcing and developing leather for fashion handbags
•        Sourcing right tanneries or suppliers to meet quality, pricing and deliveries
•        Reviewing leather colors/lab dips/thickness of sample and bulk leather to ensure all colors are aligned within each leather type 
•        Approving sample and bulk leather 
•        Conducting quality inspection, checking standard and colors of sample and bulk leather
•        Following up leather tests to meet customer requirements
•        Tracking delivery and shipment status
•        Providing technical advice to resolve problems in leather development, quality, standard and colors, etc.
•        Sourcing and developing other materials and hardware for handbag sampling and production (if possess prior and relevant experience)


Requirements -

•        No less than 10 years’ experience in sourcing & developing leather for renowned fashion handbag brands
•        Possess good sourcing network of leather suppliers
•        Excellent technical knowledge of LEATHER, 
•        Good knowledge of handbag manufacturing and construction 
•        Prior experience of sourcing and developing other materials and hardware for handbag manufacturing a PLUS
•        Possess good eye for colors and attention to details
•        Organized, efficient and team player
•        Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese
