YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Master QC Technician to join our growing furniture production. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that every product upholds the highest standards of craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetics. You will help build/update and run a practical quality system with strong focus on Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), so defects are prevented early and do not reach installation. You will also verify final products before shipment and drive continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and continuously improve the factory quality system, with clear checkpoints for Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Final/Outgoing Quality Control (FQC/OQC).
Incoming inspection (IQC): verify boards, veneer, hardware, finishes and accessories against drawings/specs (e.g., dimensions, moisture content, color match, defects) using checklists and acceptance criteria.
Set up sampling plans and acceptance standards (e.g., AQL) and ensure traceability/labeling for materials and components.
In-process quality control (IPQC): define and execute quality gates at critical steps (CNC/cutting, edge banding, pressing/lamination, sanding/painting, assembly, packing) including first-piece/first-article checks and in-line patrol inspections.
Stop and contain nonconforming work: record NCRs, isolate parts, decide rework/repair/scrap with production, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA/8D).
Train and mentor operators and line QC staff on workmanship standards, defect prevention, and correct inspection methods/tools.
Prepare clear quality documentation: inspection records, photos, checklists, and weekly/monthly reports with trends and improvement actions for management.
Work with Engineering/Design, Production, and Purchasing/Suppliers to improve product robustness and reduce recurring defects, including packaging/transport protection.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a Quality Control Technician (IQC/IPQC/FQC) or similar role in high-end furniture production or related industries.
In-depth knowledge of furniture production processes, materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and non-conformance at every stage of production.
English speaking and writing skills are preferred.
Ability to create and enforce comprehensive quality guidelines and standards.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (AQL sampling, control plans, 5-Why/8D, CAPA, Pareto).
Able to read technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications; comfortable with tolerances and finish standards.
Proficiency in using relevant software for documentation and reporting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance is a plus.
Knowledge of international quality standards and regulations.
