Job Title: Software Engineer in Testing

GRDS (Global Risk and Data Sciences) is a PayPal unit specializing in developing unique, best-of-breed fraud-detection solutions & cutting-edge technologies which are integrated into scalable & distributed systems that process tens of millions of events daily, evaluating fraud within hundreds of milliseconds, processing billions of dollars annually.

We are seeking for a Software Engineer in Testing to join our team and work on our most exciting projects.



Job description

* Perform E2E test activities in a small & flexible team working on complex and innovative data platforms & applications

* Develop & maintain automatic testing infra and test suites for different components

* Design and perform test plans and strategies based on project requirements and insure data quality and coverage

* Define test requirements for improving our system testability

* Work in agile bunch, collaborating with developers and business modelers



Job Requirements

* Computer related B.Sc. degree or equivalent background

* Familiar with Java or any other OO programming language

* Experience with scripting language programming (e.g. Perl, Shell, python, etc.)

* Familiar with Oracle/SQL/Teradata DB operations

* Familiar with Unix/Linux

* Experience with Hadoop and other Big Data technology is a big plus

* Team player, Agile, flexible, multi-tasking, passion for learning new areas

* Data oriented– passionate to understand, analyze and investigate problems related to big data

* Fluent in English, good communication skills.
