2. History of Umbra 安柏历史
    Umbra was born in 1979, when childhood friends Les Mandelbaum and Paul Rowan turned a decorating dilemma into an innovative product - a printed window shade. The two co-founders had discovered Umbra’s niche: to modernize home products to appeal to a youthful audience, where style was a requirement and finances limited.  This breakthrough began the journey to Umbra’s success of becoming an international brand, known for contemporary home accessories, spanning over multiple categories.
      1979年，当Les Mandelbaum和Paul Rowan这对童年伙伴无意中用纸质窗帘这一原创产品解决了一个家居装饰的难题之后，安柏应运而生。两位创始人找准了公司的定位：将产品的功能与现代科技、时尚设计和艳丽的色彩相结合，并以可接受的价格销售。这一突破开始了安柏成为跨越多个品类的当代家居饰品行业的国际知名品牌之旅。
    Umbra continues to expand globally, with worldwide distribution and offices in USA, Canada, Europe, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong and mainland China. The company maintains its leadership position by staying true to Les and Paul’s original philosophy, that everyday objects can be a source of pleasure when reinvented to combine function with modern technology, stylish design, and wit.
