Partner Appliances Ltd. was found in 1988 by Mr. YK Chen, Teng-Kee and Teng-See Tan brothers. Initially, the company imported electric fans to USA and Canadian markets under OEM brands. P. C. Yip Joined the company in 1990 and an operation / product development office in Hong Kong was set up. Further investment was made on new products and joint venture factories in China. These two joint-venture factories are currently making products for Partner to export. In addition to the USA and Canada, Partner is shipping electric fans and other products to Australia, Europe, Central America, Cuba, Puerto Rico, South East Asia, Middle East under OEM and private label brands of “Summer Breeze”, “WindChaser” and “Hometek”. 
In 1995, Partner diversified the business from air treatment products to include a complete line of small electric appliances i.e. toasters, mixers, ovens etc., under “Nile” brand for Hungary and the Eastern European markets. Presently, the “Nile” brand lines of products are being exported to Egypt and neighboring countries. In addition to the products made by Partner’s own factories, small electric appliances are being sourced from various joint factories in China. 
Due to the success of Nile brand in Hungary and Eastern European markets, in 1997 we successfully introduced this line of products in the Singapore and Malaysian markets. The increasing potential of local Malaysian markets, Partner is starting an assembly factory in Malaysia to produce small electric appliances for export to neighboring countries.  
Partner's office in Hong Kong is the center for engineering, development, sales, product sourcing, shipping and banking/finance issues. We are producing a full line of high performance fans and quiet hairdryers based on a technology developed by a Chinese professor for which Partner will have a worldwide patent protection. 
The staff is the important asset of the company. Partner operates under the leadership of Mr. YK Chen. Mr. Chen is acting Chairman and a Chief Consultant responsible for the Company’s strategic direction and helping guide the company operations based on current trends in small electric appliance industry and world economic factors. Mr. Chen obtained his graduate engineering training from Cornell University and his MBA degree from Colombia University before returning to Hong Kong to set up his own manufacturing business in mid-1960. P. C. Yip is the General Manager of operations in both Hong Kong and China. Mr. Yip graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic and University of Hong Kong in mid-1970. After graduating from University of Hong Kong, he received a two years engineering apprenticeship training in Nottingham, England. Prior to joining Partner, Mr. Yip worked for Durable / Windmere / Applica, as the General Manager of R&D, Engineering and Quality Control for 10 years. Durable / Windmere is one of the largest manufacturers in Hong Kong and China employing over 15,000 workers. Applica is licensed manufacturer and distributor of the “Black & Decker and Windmere brands to name a few. During this period of time Durable / Windmere expanded its sale volume from HK$100,000,000 to HK $ 1,300,000,000 
Hometek Group of Companies 
In 2001, Partner Appliances Ltd, in association with a seasoned North American marketing and rep. groups, set up the Hometek group of companies. We currently have offices in Hong Kong, China, Toronto and Kuala Lumpur. The first North American office is located in Toronto, Canada, and is headed by David O’Neill who has over 30 years experience in both Retail, manufacturing, and importing. The group specializes in OEM and private brand sales to key retail customers. It is also responsible for marketing and distributing goods under the Beauti-Gear brand in Canada. 
Hometek International Ltd. – This is a company working in the electric and non-electric air freshener and liquid bowl cleaners for OEM customers in the USA. These products are being made in the Hometek group factory in China and supplying to the mass retailers i.e. mainly for Dollar General, Family Dollar, Pathmark and others under their house brand and other OEM brands such as Duette, and many others. 
Hometek Marketing Ltd. – This is a company working in the personal care and small kitchen electrics in Hong Kong. Hometek is involved in designing and developing a line of products as well as supplying the necessary tooling to the factories for exclusive supply. Personal care products includes hair dryer, curling iron, nail care, facial care products. A full line of small kitchen electrics includes; two and four slice toasters, manual, electronic and stainless coffee makers, sandwich maker, rice cooker, motor driven appliances such as blender, juice extractor, food processor / mixing center, steam irons and other specialized products. These are all medium or high end products currently being supplied to Sears Canada; Beauti-Gear; Weston companies in Canada ( Loblaws and the Real Canadian Superstore), The Hudsons Bay Company, Belson division of Applica and others. 
Wistana Distribution Sdn Bhd – This is a distribution company set up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This company is importing a full line of small electrics, air freshener and toilet cleaners from China through Hometek Hong Kong and supplying to the main distributors and wholesalers in Malaysia. The products are under Hometek, Duette or other OEM brands and supplying to the main electric stores chains and Hypermarket chains in Malaysia such as Metro, Tesco, Carafu, Giant and many more. Wistana also re-exports the products to the near by countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and many others in South East Asia.
