The Electrical/Electronics Engineer will lead electrical and electronic development for Early Light and KUVON products incorporating sensors, batteries, charging systems, displays, lighting, motors, communications, controls, cameras, and other smart-product technologies.
The position will work closely with industrial design, mechanical engineering, firmware/software resources, component suppliers, manufacturing partners, and testing laboratories to develop reliable and production-ready electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical architectures for new consumer products.
Design and/or manage PCB development, schematics, component selection, and electronic-system integration.
Develop battery, charging, power-management, sensor, motor-control, lighting, display, audio, camera, and communication solutions.
Work with mechanical engineering to optimize electronic packaging and product architecture.
Coordinate firmware and embedded-software development internally or with external Develop prototypes and conduct electrical testing, debugging, and design verification.
Support wireless technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other communication protocols when required.
Support development of connected and smart products.
Develop production test requirements and support manufacturing-test equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical issues during EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot production, and mass production.
Support regulatory and product-compliance testing, including applicable EMC, electrical safety, battery, wireless, FCC, CE, and related requirements.
Manage sustaining-engineering activities, component substitutions, obsolescence, cost reductions, and engineering changes.
Utilize AI-enabled tools for circuit development, component research, debugging, documentation, firmware support, test-data analysis, and design optimization.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing electronic consumer products.
Demonstrated experience taking electronic products from concept through mass production.
Strong understanding of PCB design, electronic components, power management, batteries, charging systems, sensors, and embedded electronics.
Experience integrating electronics into injection-molded consumer products.
Experience with prototype development, debugging, validation testing, and manufacturing support.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer electronic products.
Experience with sustaining engineering and electronic-component lifecycle management.
Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IoT, mobile-app-connected products, or smart consumer products preferred.
Experience using AI-assisted electronics, firmware, debugging, or engineering tools strongly preferred.

The position requires significant hands-on experience in consumer-product development, plastic-part design, mechanisms, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, tolerance development, prototyping, testing, and production support.
Mechanical Engineers will work closely with Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, suppliers, tooling teams, and Early Light manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Develop mechanical product architecture from industrial-design concepts and product specifications.
Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
Engineer injection-molded components, mechanisms, structural components, assemblies, seals, fastening systems, and related mechanical systems.
Perform tolerance analysis, stack-up analysis, material selection, structural analysis, and design optimization.
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
Work directly with mold makers, suppliers, prototype shops, and manufacturing engineers.
Review tooling designs, mold-flow results, first shots, dimensional reports, and engineering samples.
Develop and execute prototype and product-validation testing.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems during EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot production, and mass production.
Support cost reduction, value engineering, product improvement, and sustaining-engineering programs.
Manage engineering changes and maintain accurate product documentation.
Utilize AI-enabled engineering tools for design exploration, analysis, tolerance evaluation, documentation, troubleshooting, and engineering optimization.
Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to integrate PCBs, batteries, sensors, motors, displays, cameras, lighting, charging systems, and other electronic components into products.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
5 years of professional product-development engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience taking physical products from concept through tooling and mass production.
Strong 3D CAD experience; Creo/Pro-E experience preferred.
Strong understanding of injection molding, tooling, plastics, metals, mechanisms, fasteners, adhesives, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, prototype development, testing, and failure analysis.
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing.
Experience with sustaining engineering, cost reduction, and production troubleshooting.
Experience with AI-assisted engineering, simulation, automation, or engineering-analysis tools preferred.
